Our great state was created during a grand battle with Great Britain. Approximately one hundred years later, we redesigned the nation following the civil war. We also had leading purposes in both World Wars. These examples are just a smattering of the serious wars which have lost soldiers’ exisistence.
In Prior years, I wondered what befell to the soldiers who passed during engagement. I assumed that they were abandoned as a result of the strain of warfare. To my surprise, I determined numerous were interred at federal cemeteries. One of the most recognized is Arlington National Cemetery. I’ve had the pleasure of touring the cemetery on numerous occasions, and each time is a humbling experience.
If you walk about the cemetery, there are areas where is a sea of white tombstones flooding the arena before you. It is exciting to see initially. Before I went to the graveyard, I never fully appreciated the sacrifice our soldiers make for our freedom. There were numerous older, customized tombstones that had military medals and military ribbons spread throughout the burial ground.
On one of my visits to Arlington, I went with a family who was attending to pay hommage to their grandpa. To render their regards, they bought a military medal online to display on his tombstone. This was a special show of esteem, and I was surprised that they were able to purchase something of that nature online. To my surprisal, it was really quite an effortless operation. There are choices to select a medal or ribbon from each arm of the military. You can tailor it to meet what you are attempting to exhibit value for. If someone was wounded or killed during service, then they would obtain a purple heart. On one of these sites, you can buy a purple heart in order to show respect a service man or woman. It was a great disclosure for me, and I was glad to see that there were paths to either substitute lost awards or to acquire new ones to observe the memory of war veterans.
